Ron Behrens has spent his whole life in La Grange. Many people here already know him from Ron’s Automotive, the business he owned for years. In 2020 he and his partner, Dennis Green, started something new: Ron’s Overhead Doors.

The company grew quickly, and by 2023 Ron needed help running the office. He turned to family. His daughter, Keleh Morrison, moved back to La Grange to become office manager, and today the business is a hometown father-and-daughter operation with three two-man crews in the field.

Ron’s Overhead Doors installs, repairs, and maintains garage and overhead doors, openers, and springs for both homes and businesses. About 60 percent of its work is commercial, and that’s where the company is growing. It now offers commercial dock equipment, and the crew is about to begin training on fire-rated doors. The crews cover a 60 to 85 mile radius around La Grange, mostly to the north and south.

When asked what sets them apart, Keleh points to convenience and a fair deal. “They try to recommend the best solution without worrying about making the sale,” she says. That honest approach, along with quick response times, has built them a strong reputation across the area.

Ron’s Overhead Doors also gives back to the community. The company is an active Chamber member and has sponsored the Fayette County Fair and the La Grange High School booster club.
