The La Grange Area Chamber of Commerce (LGACOC) is a nonprofit member organization established to support local businesses in 1950, one hundred years after the City itself was incorporated.
Our Vision is to consistently create regenerative and sustainable economic prosperity.
Our Mission is to build opportunities through advocacy, education, events, leadership, and networking.
Our Value Propositions are: 1). create networking through member engagement; 2). generate interest for your business through marketing and exposure; 3). promote and provide event information to support your business; and 4). help and inspire businesses to become successful.
LGACOC is proud to be part of the strong tradition representing employers in the great state of Texas, going back to the first two Chambers founded in Houston and Galveston in 1840 and 1845 respectively. Chambers of Commerce have been the propelling force in promoting highways, transportation, industry, business, agriculture, tourism, new community facilities and services, and applying new techniques to keep abreast of constantly changing economic and political conditions.
Our Chamber has membership from businesses, cooperatives, and individuals, seeking to increase economic activity in the area, which ultimately benefits the city through increased visitor traffic, Hotel occupancy, sales taxes, and other revenues.

La Grange has a long history of economic boom and bust cycles, affected largely by events beyond the City’s control. Our Chamber intends to be vigilant to these externalities and ensure that our businesses do not fall prey to bust cycles as in years gone by.
Chambers like ours offer significant benefits not only to their members but to the wider communities; when businesses are successful, so too are communities. Our Chamber works in partnership with businesses, City Officials and Offices, and the general public to ensure that La Grange remains the best little town in Texas!
